Alys WinifredHEDGESBorn 17th September 1937 in Beddington, Surrey and died peacefully at the age of 88 in Cheverells Care Home, Northam on 25th February 2026 where she had resided since December 2024.

Alys married Peter Hedges on 24th April 1957 and moved to North Devon in 1962. They and their seven children lived at Gratleigh & then Snape Farm, High Bickington.

The Committal will be at Snape Farm and is by invitation only. There will be a service of thanksgiving at Umberleigh Christian Fellowship on Monday 16th March 2026 at 2.30pm, to which all are invited to celebrate Alys' life.

Donations in lieu of flowers, to Torch Trust for the Blind can be made by retiring collection, online at www.rpbfunerals.com or by cheque payable to the charity c/o
